Ingredients

  • 3/4 to 1 cup of chocolate chips
  • 10-12 pretzel sticks per spider web
  • Plastic spiders optional, for decoration

Instructions

Melt the Chocolate:

  • Fill a small saucepan halfway with water and place a metal bowl on top. Add chocolate chips to the bowl and melt over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until fully melted. Remove from heat to cool slightly while you prepare the pretzels.

Prepare the Pretzels:

  • On a sheet of wax paper, arrange 10-12 pretzel sticks in a circular pattern for each spider web.

Fill the Bag:

  • Pour the melted chocolate into a plastic zip-top bag. Use a container to hold the bag open, making it easier to transfer the chocolate.

Create the Web:

  • Snip a small corner off the plastic bag. Squeeze the chocolate in a circular motion over the pretzels to create the web shape.

Cool and Set:

  • Let the webs cool at room temperature for a few hours. Alternatively, place them on a cookie sheet and pop them into the refrigerator for about 30 minutes until the chocolate sets and becomes matte.

Serve:

  • Carefully peel the spider webs off the wax paper. Place on top of a bowl of ice cream or break them into pieces for an extra spooky touch. Optional: Add plastic spiders for decoration.

Notes

  • If you’re in a hurry, chilling the webs in the refrigerator will speed up the setting process.
  • Feel free to get creative with the presentation – break the web into smaller pieces, or keep it intact for a dramatic look on top of desserts.
